Thyroid eye disease, or Graves disease, can be a frustrating problem for both doctor and patient. Antibodies against the thyroid gland can also attack the eye socket and tissues around the eye. It can result in eyelid swelling, protruding eyes, double vision and occasionally vision loss. There are several treatment options available. Treatment is tailored to the patient and their stage and severity of disease. Our physicians work together with endocrinologists and internists to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
